the end of an era

Have I mentioned before that I don't like change? Yeah, I really don't, especially when it's not in my control.

This afternoon, my long-time across-the-hall/over-the-cubicle-walls/lets-go-knit-at-lunchtime colleague moved out.

She's got some really great things happening, and exciting new opportunities ....

Still, my stapler's gonna be lonely.

  • awww! change is hard and kinda sucky, but it will get better.

  • I always hated it when friends would leave first.

  • I'm happy that she has great things happening and exciting new opportunities, but I'm sad for you and your stapler.

  • I'm sad for you, but oh! so happy for her. I hate feeling two ways at once.

And poor stapler. Perhaps you could arrange a playdate?

  • Exciting opportunities = Yay!
    Change = Harumph.
Losing a quality partner in crime = Boo.

  • I had a best friend at work once and she left for bigger things. I was happy for her but boy did I miss her everyday. I know how you feel, sweetie.

  • Yeah but did you steal all the good stuff from her cube after she left? Godd wished to you best sok pal (BWP)!

By Blogger Deb, at 8:59 AM

  • You can still have lunch with me. I will be glad to bring a sock along. :-)

  • Sad, but yet... How long did it take the cube raiders to swoop in and scavenge? That's what happens here...

By Blogger Chris, at 6:56 PM

  • Aww, that IS the end of an era!!

  • Those staplers fit so well together... but life does go on. Ready or not. Hooray! And also dang.

By Blogger Lucia, at 3:32 PM

  • If it helps at all, it's only 10:30am on my first day of working from home and I'm already missing you. Boo.Hiss.

By Blogger FemiKnitMafia, at 10:32 AM

  • The Mafia will most definitely be missed!

By Blogger TheWantonSeedStitch, at 4:21 PM

  • Boo.Hoo. Hiss. Gone are the "Hey Danielle! Yell "Hi" to Mafia for me across the hall! ". :-)
